Farm Activities

  • Wildflower meadow with yellow, pink, and light purple flowers under a cloudy sky.

    Walk the Wildflowers

With more than two acres of Tennessee wildflowers, the photo ops are endless. Stop by the office for your cup to pick flowers or to take home some seeds.

  • Small stream flowing through a forest with fallen leaves and moss-covered rocks.

    Mystic Trail

Walk our nature trail and art installation and see fairies, gnomes and dragons living in their natural habitat in the hollow.

  • Three young girls wearing dresses are walking on grass in a rural area with leafless trees and a black SUV in the background.

    Events and Activities

Register for special events, like scavenger hunts, tea parties in the fairy forest, paint balloon battles and decorating birdhouses.

  • A deer fawn standing on grass with tall plants in the background.

    Go Wild

The Hollow is home to red foxes, deer, hundreds of turkeys and hawks, woodpeckers, fairies and who knows what else!

  • RElax outside

Adults with kids are free, hang out in the pavilion, take some photos and let the little ones burn some energy.

  • Wooden mining setup with a Foxfire Hollow Mining Co. sign, outdoor setting with green grass, trees in the background, and a black vehicle visible.

    Gem Mining

While the creek still occasionally produces valuable gems, the abandoned Foxfire Hollow Mines still produce spectacular gems. Just pick the type of treasures you want to search for — we have a few options.

  • Two young girls in fairy costumes sitting on the ground near a flowerbed with pink roses, next to a wooden post, with a small white house in the background.

    Natural Playground

Our playground on the edge of the fairy forest is all natural based, with climbing features, slides and a cornbox to play in (much less messy than a sandbox). We have seating for parents — and you can see the whole playground.
